20th Anniversary Ps4

Sony has revealed a new custom  PS4 designed with an original PSOne finish, to mark the twentieth anniversary of PlayStation.
The console will be available to pre-order from the US and Europe, priced at $499 and €499, with the supply limited to 12,300 units worldwide.
Packaged in a special commemorative box, the custom PS4 is resplendent with a familiar silver/grey finish, with a small insignia etched onto the chassis that shows each unit's unique number. The DualShock 4 controller, meanwhile, is coloured in the same manner and brings back the original PlayStation logo. A closer look shows that the controller's touch-pad has also been decorated with 20 marked in the pattern.
Pre-orders open on Saturday, December 6, with further details announced at thePlayStation Experience event on Saturday.
Shuhei Yoshida, the president of Sony's game studio division, announced the new console on Wednesday morning to mark a two-decade milestone for the business.
In a note published on the PlayStation Blog, he wrote: "Sony Computer Entertainment, founded by my mentor Ken Kutaragi, was a project borne out of sincere passion and deep admiration for the craft of game development."
Yoshida continued: "The mid ’90s were an exciting time for game developers, driven by the explosion of powerful but affordable 3D graphics rendering hardware and the birth of many young and adventurous development studios. The original PlayStation was meant to embody that sense of adventure and discovery, that sense that anything was possible."

Sony Is Depending Ps4 To boost Profit

Sony is aiming to increase sales in its videogame division by 25 percent over the next three years, with plans bring it to "as much as 1.6 trillion yen ($13.6 billion.)" According to Reuters (via gamesindustry), Sony executives discussed the need to increase margins as opposed to market share at its investors' conference recently.
The company intends to cut back on its TV and mobile phone products in order to save costs, instead looking to its PlayStation 4 and image sensor products to generate a surge in revenue over the next three years. Sony said that this would be helped by users purchasing personalized TV, video and music distribution services.
Recently-appointed chief of Sony's mobile division Hiroki Totoki said, "We're not aiming for size or market share but better profits."

The PlayStation 4 was released over a year ago and has shipped more than 13.5 million systems worldwide since launch. In the US, PS4 hardware sales have generated more revenue for Sony than any other new platform. The company suffered a reported loss of $806 million last quarter, which was better than investors feared

Games OF Throne : RELEASE DATE finally REVEALED

It would be generous to say that Telltale Games has been trickling out information about its upcoming Game of Thrones series. It's really been more akin to a slow, gentle drip: what it's about, how many episodes, who will appear in it, and so forth. And today, the final drop has fallen.
Steam had Iron From Ice, the first episode in the Game of Thrones sextet, still listed as coming in the vaguely-defined "December" at the time this was written, but Telltale dropped the dime earlier this afternoon with a disappointingly mundane tweet. "#GameOfThrones A @TelltaleGames Series Ep 1 #IronFromIce 12/2 PC/Mac; PS4 SCEA 12/3 Xbox One & 360; PS4 SCEE 12/4 iOS," it wrote.
The one we care about, of course, is top of the list: December 2 is the day that the adventures of House Forrester will begin in earnest. As previously revealed, the game will follow five members of the House as they struggle to prevent its destruction during the War of the Five Kings. It will also feature appearances by several members of the HBO cast, including Peter Dinklage as Tyrion Lannister, Lena Heady as Cersei Lannister, Natalie Dormer as Margaery Tyrell, and Iwan Rheon as Ramsay Snow.
Game of Thrones may be pre-purchased now on Steam

Assassin’s Creed Unity for the PC : Analysis That LOW PERFOMANCE

Over the last couple of days we’ve discussed Assassin’s Creed Unity’s poor reviews, bugginess, and the Xbox One’s surprising lead over the PS4. Now, it’s time to take a closer look at the PC version, and to see just how bad the performance situation is — and to try and work out why that’s the case.
One reason we’ve already heard is that the draw call count on the PC side is very high under certain circumstances — higher, in fact, then DX11 can reasonably support. We’ve rounded up a GTX 780, a GTX 980, and the Radeon R9 290X and put them through their respective paces to see how the game performs — and what users can do to boost frame rates. We’ll also be looking at what effect (if any) Unity’s use of GameWorks has on Nvidia and AMD GPUs.Assassin creed unity trailer

Jurassic World Trailer Released

The full 2 minute 40 second trailer for Jurassic World has been released.
Last Sunday saw the debut of a 16-second teaser ahead of the trailer of long-awaited Jurassic Park sequel Jurassic World, but now the full-length trailer has hit. And it’s got a humungo shark-eating crocodile.
Starting with fresh faced youngsters Ty Simpkins and Nick Robinson heading to the newly re-opened theme park Jurassic World, the trailer feels very in keeping with the original film, from vistas of running dinosaurs to the soft plink of the “I'm a dinosaur” original theme tune in the background.
Following Chris Pratt as the heroic park ranger and Bryce Dallas Howard as the new Richard Attenborough, the trailer teases a new genetically modified highly-intelligent but super-deadly dinosaur, that’s almost certainly going to go on the rampage.
A leap in scale for Safety Not Guaranteed director Colin Trevorrow, expect nail-chewing set pieces, frantic chases and, yes, at least one massive crocodile.Check out the trailer

Far Cry 4 patch remedies black and grey screen bugs

News about Ubisoft patch notes is becoming as ubiquitous as news about Ubisoft trailers. This time the company has released patch 1.4.0 for Far Cry 4, which purports to solve problems users are having with errant black and grey screens. The former occurs when the affected user tries to boot the game, while the later usually occurs at the end of Outpost Master Missions.
It's worth noting that some users are reporting the persistence of the black screen error, but Ubisoft has yet to directly acknowledge those complaints. Future patches will address other problems including mouse acceleration, key bindings and black shadows on SLI, but no time frame was specified.
Ubisoft acknowledged the black screen bug earlier this week, citing "the presence of conflicting peripherals" as the culprit. It follows a pretty disastrous month for Ubisoft on PC: Assassin's Creed: Unity's next patch will clear up 300 bugs.

Resident Evil 5, Lost Planet producer announces new PS4 game

The chief producer of Resident Evil 5 and Lost Planet, Jun Takeuchi, has been around for a while. He knows how gaming PR works and he definitely knows how to tease fans.
In an interview with Famitsu, Takeuchi revealed that there's something coming to the PlayStation 4 - he just won't say what yet.
Takeuchi started off the interview with the basics, saying saying how enthusiastic he was about working with the PS4, then at one point he let it out. He said that his next game would be on the PS4, he even went far enough to say that it would not only surprise us, but also 'turn our heads':
“As far as the quality of the game I’m currently working on goes, I’m sure you all will be surprised...Not only domestically, but we’re making it into something that will turn plenty of heads if we were to release it in the foreign market as well.”
Famitsu also inquired on whether or not Capcom was working on bringing some more than Resident Evil: Revelations 2 to the PS4. The answer was a firm “of course”.
It is unclear on whether or not the upcoming game will be a PS4 exclusive.

A death-defying ride along Scotland’s Cuillin Range

Don’t look down.
These were probably the words running through extreme cyclist Danny Macaskill’s head when he biked the Isle of Skye’s notorious Cuillin Range. The above video – streamed more than 12 million times since its debut on 2 October – showcases the professional athlete’s death-defying ride along the jagged mountain ridge.
It’s a feat that – for obvious reasons – not many people attempt. Scotland’s Cuillin Range is a dramatic and challenging ascent for most mountain climbers, let alone an adventurer navigating on two wheels. The 13km-long range is home to some 20 peaks, with the highest point reaching an intimidating 992m. The few winding trails that pepper the range are slippery and narrow. And as winter nears, some trails require the use of ice-axes and crampons – not to mention a hefty dose of courage.
But these challenging conditions did nothing to deter Macaskill, who hails from Dunvegan on the Isle of Skye. Perhaps the most famous stunt rider on the internet, Macaskill is good at what he does. His 12 years of practise are evident at the two-minute mark as he navigates the Cuillin’s steep, rocky ridges in a deceptively casual fashion. Then at 4:51, he vaults off the edge of a cliff and nails the landing. Watching as Macaskill hurdles, jumps and finishes the film with a trick flip, you just might feel as though the rider and the bike are one.
We don’t recommend that you follow exactly in Macaskill’s bike tracks, but well-qualified mountaineers can hike the Cuillin Range. Because of the mental and physical exertion required, climbing the ridge alone is suggested as a two-day trip, with one day used as a training day.

Assassin's Creed: Unity criticised for widespread glitches

Wide-ranging glitches in the blockbuster video game Assassin's Creed: Unity have seen its publisher Ubisoft attacked by players, the press and its own investors.
Shares in the firm dipped by as much as 12.8% after Tuesday's launch.
It has been suggested the game was not ready for release. Ubisoft has also been criticised for delaying reviews until after the title had gone on sale.
The French company said that it was working on fixes.
"We are currently working on our next update that will help address some of the specific issues some players are having including: [the protagonist] Arno falling through the ground; game crashing when joining a co-op session; Arno getting caught inside of hay carts; delay in reaching the main menu screen at game start," it said.
Assassin's Creed UnityGamespot reported that PC users had experienced characters missing part of their faces
In a further statement, Ubisoft added that the complexity of creating a multiplayer title, in which players join forces via the internet, was the reason that the game had only became available for review relatively late in the day.
However, it did not explicitly address the point that it had made reviewers agree to an embargo time set 12 hours after the game went on sale on the east coast of the US.
Consumers have posted screenshots and videos online, indicating that problems affect all the platforms the game has been released on: the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
A patch was, however, provided on the launch day to tackle "random crashes" and some animation issues.
Assassin's Creed UnityOne video posted online shows a character inexplicably trapped in a fireplace
"The glitches are so bad that it's become a source of mockery," said Rob Crossley, UK news editor of Gamespot.
"There are characters that float past the screen, the main protagonist walks in the air, people are falling through the floor, people's faces are disappearing mid-kiss.
"If a publisher has proven it can't publish a game properly and displeases its core user base, then I think there are legitimate questions to be made about how well the company will fare in the future."
Released date delays
Assassin's Creed: Unity is set in the French Revolution, and its simulation of Paris streets and buildings is more complex than anything attempted in the franchise before.
Assassin's Creed UnityOne uploaded video shows the protagonist trapped with a banner slicing through his body
It also marks the first time Ubisoft has released two core Assassin's Creed games simultaneously - the North America-based title, Assassin's Creed: Rogue, was made for last-generation consoles.
The company had been under pressure to meet the titles' scheduled release dates after announcing lengthy delays to other high-profile games: Watch Dogs, which ultimately went on sale about a year later than expected, and The Crew, which is running roughly nine months late.
"It shows that Ubisoft struggles to deliver products on the timelines that it's given, and if it does deliver them on time they may not be finished," said Mr Crossley.
"I would say that delaying a game for the sake of quality is a much more commendable solution than releasing it in fear."
Assassin's Creed UnityOne bug allows Arno to swim under floating elements of the city
'Anti-consumer'
Video games news site Polygon has led criticism of Ubisoft's post-release embargo.
"There's no valid reason for a review embargo such as this; it's blatantly anti-consumer and likely designed to get the first rush of hardcore fans into the stores to buy their copies of the game before the reviews hit," wrote the site's editor Ben Kuchera.
"Any embargo past midnight the night before is sketchy as hell. It's a way to weaponise embargoes, and the best thing to do is to hold off until you can read about the game in detail."
Assassin's Creed UnityOne flaw involves the lead character falling through the floor to infinite depths
Two other high-profile games - Activision's Destiny and Sony's Driveclub - also had post-release embargoes placed on them this year, while Sega did not send out any pre-release copies of Sonic Boom: Shattered Crystal at all.
All three titles subsequently received mixed scores.
But a spokeswoman for Ubisoft denied her firm had acted out of a lack of respect for customers.
"The nature of games themselves and the way they are being reviewed is changing, as evidenced by games like Assassin's Creed Unity, Destiny and The Crew - games that have significant online components," she said.
Assassin's Creed UnityGamers have encountered invisible walls and can hang onto ledges that are not there
"Having the online elements available and having populated worlds is essential to creating a representative and complete experience for reviewers.
"Achieving this prior to launch is incredibly complex, which is why some games are being reviewed much closer - or as was the case with Destiny, even after - the game launches.
"We are working to adapt our services and communications with consumers accordingly, both by changing the way we work with reviewers and by offering customers open betas or other early access to some games, all so that they have the information they need and want."
Gamers have suggested that the PC version of the title appears to be the most buggy
But Mr Crossley joined calls for a rethink.
"Embargoes beyond the release date instantly raises suspicions - whether they are true or not - about the quality of a game," he said.
"I don't see the logic in doing it."

Hunger Games film has biggest debut of the year so far

Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss Everdeen in Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1Jennifer Lawrence stars as the face of the rebellion in a dystopian post-apocalyptic society

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1 has scored the biggest debut of the year at the UK and US box office.
The third instalment of the franchise, made £12.6m in the UK, accounting for two out of every three tickets sold, its distributor Lionsgate said.
It just beats The Inbetweeners 2 which made £12.5m when it came out in August.
In the US, Mockingjay made $123m (£79m), a significant drop from last year's instalment, Catching Fire, which took $152m (£100m) on its debut.
The movie adaptations of The Hunger Games, based on the best-selling teen books by Suzanne Collins, have taken more than $1.5bn (£946m) at the worldwide box office.
In the North American box office rundown, Walt Disney's animated action film Big Hero 6 was in second place this weekend, with ticket sales of $20.1m (£12.7m)
Director Christopher Nolan's space adventure Interstellar, which has taken $121m (£77m) since its release at the beginning of November, took $15m (£9.6m) this weekend and was at number three.
Former number ones, comedy Dumb and Dumber To and thriller Gone Girl, rounded out the top five.
Figures for the rest of the UK box office are not due to be released until later this week.
Film company Lionsgate, which has split the final Hunger Games book into two parts, will release the final instalment in 2015.
It was announced earlier this month the best-selling franchise would be made into an "immersive" stage show in summer 2016 to bring Collins' writing "to life".

GTA 5 First Person Mod Delayed PC Release?

grand-theft-auto-v-3-4

We all, specifically the PC gaming community are well aware of the fact that how much GTA 5 was delayed for release. At first none of us actually believed that the game would ever come for PC. I did make mention of its release in my previous articles but people thought it was bogus news. GTA 5 is set to release for PC on 27 January 2015. The date is even ahead of next-gen consoles.

GTA 5 First Person Mod

2715612 firstperson1 GTA 5 First Person Mod Delayed PC Release? other gaming pc gaming next gen

Apart from the superior graphics offered in the next-gen console and PC release for GTA 5 there is an added feature of First Person Mod, which allows the user to experience GTA 5 in first person view when ever he likes.
Rockstar made a smart move to add an additional feature or else the majority who had already played the game on their old consoles might not buy it for their new consoles just to experience better visuals (which has never been a problem for console gamers).

PC Release Delayed

This is entirely my personal opinion but many of you might agree with it. If a game comes out on PC it has a lot of room for customization from modding communities. The most famous example would be of Skyrim and GTA 4. Both these games were heavily modded and even till this day the modding community is busy bringing up new mods.
So back to the point, here is a picture of GTA 4 having a first person mod created by the modding community.

gta iv first person mod 01 700x393 GTA 5 First Person Mod Delayed PC Release? other gaming pc gaming next gen
My point is that, if GTA 5 would have come out along with PS3 and Xbox 360, the modding community would easily have created a GTA 5 first person mod. It was also likely that the PC release would have gotten superior graphics over the old gen consoles. This could have stolen the selling point from Rockstar Studios and it certainly would not have been cool to add in an official GTA 5 first person mod later on. Hence, to make sure their future sales were not affected they delayed the release of GTA 5 for PC.
That is what I personally believe, do share your point of view on this.

Far Cry 4 and Assassin's Creed Unity bug lists hint at wider problems

Ubisoft has set up a live update feed for Far Cry 4 that lets users see all of the game's known issues in one place, with DIY fixes when available and outlines for more formal patches. Current sore spots include PC crashes, PS3 installs claiming that their game data is corrupt, and problems redeeming pre-order bonus codes. Next to Assassin's Creed Unity's updates, it looks sparse.
Jokes about missing faces aside, Ubisoft deserves a high five for getting out in front of these issues. Finding a problem with your newly purchased game stinks, and creators should take ownership over their own QA-eluding problems. This is a step up from the 'tech support' section buried in a message board - it's a part of each game's official internet homepage, taking up significant real estate where you might expect yet another mini-doc or promotional contest.
But why are these pages necessary in the first place? Because somebody screwed up. There's no other way around it - these games are not functioning as they should, and paying customers are dealing with the headaches. Of course, Ubisoft is far, far from the only guilty party here. The entire industry seems to have had a rash of these shaky launches in recent years, hasn't it?
It's tempting to romanticize the pre-connected days when bug-squashing updates weren't an option for developers. Back then, quality assurance had to assure a game was quality rather than a minimum viable product, right? Well, yeah, for the most part. But video games have had glitches forever. Back in the old days we just had to accept them (or exploit them) as part of the package. Sure, players probably run into more bugs/disconnects/corrupt files/endless invisible pits in modern games than they used to. But games are also exponentially more complex.
Think of each little bit that could go wrong as a moving part, and big-budget titles from a decade ago look like a Mouse Trap board next to the jet engine of modern projects. And that's without considering ubiquitous online connectivity, with all its tough-to-replicate points of failure. Nor is it taking into account the fact that, just as an example, Far Cry 4 released on five unique platforms simultaneously - making it a fair bit harder to catch every single issue than it was for, say, Halo 2.
I'm not making excuses for Ubisoft here. If you pay for a completed game, it should work like a completed game. Instead, I'm suggesting that we may need to adjust our expectations and put more thought into our pre-orders. As long as we demand ever-grander worlds to explore with all our friends on all our systems, we'll have to accept that they won't function perfectly out of the gate. As variables multiply and individual test cases become less helpful, some of those old QA duties will be passed off to early adopters.
It's far from ideal for anybody. But we've pretty well made our bed at this point, and it's time to sleep in it - or at least stop throwing elbows under the sheets.

New trailer arrives for The Woman In Black: Angel Of Death: watch now

A brand new trailer has landed for horror sequel The Woman In Black: Angel Of Death, which picks up some 40 years after the events of the first film.

The new film is set during the Second World War, with Eel Marsh House being used as a countryside sanctuary for a group of young evacuees.

Unfortunately, Eel Marsh House is anything but relaxing for its new residents, with a familiar spectre still making a nuisance of herself…

Take a look at the new trailer, below…

The first film used a barrage of jump scares to bludgeon its audience into quivering wrecks, and it looks as though there will be more of the same second time out, as The Woman in Black continues her reign of terror…

Directed by Tom Harper and co-starring Jeremy Irvine and Helen McCrory, The Woman In Black: Angel Of Death will open in the UK on 1 January 2015, and in the US the following day.

What Will Be Games Be like In 2020 ?

CVG sister site Next-Gen.biz is running an article focussing on the opinions from industry experts on what games and gaming will be like in the year 2020...

Nolan Bushnell, founder of Atari and chair of NeoEdge: "Social gatherings have always had some game playing elements whether you're talking about a 12th century banquet or a game of Risk around the table at home.
"The way people will play games in the future is by getting together socially and making gaming a part of that experience, along with the beer and the pizza. They'll gather in social places and play games together, which are either free games or paid. Games will bring people together."
Peter Moore, head of EA Sports: "Games have a key role to play in health and wellness. People will be able to do things with games in their own houses that they just can't do at the gym. And it's not just about making yourself stronger and healthier but also smarter and happier.
"Games have the power to make people happy and to make the world a better place,. And I do mean the world, because we are now opening up massive new markets like China and India that will bring billions of gamers."
The above are just two excerpts from what's a number of industry folks voicing opinions, and it's worth a read. Get the full monty on Next-Gen.biz. We're sure you have your own views too...

GTA 5 publisher thinks gaming isn't ready for VR just yet

With the consumer release of Oculus Rift expected to arrive "pretty soon", you'd be forgiven for thinking major publishers are starting to ramp up (albeit quietly) virtual reality development. While that may be true, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick has told Bloomberg TV (via IGN) that he doesn't think the industry is ready for the shift. Take-Two is parent company to both 2K Games and Rockstar, and with Grand Theft Auto 5releasing for PC in January many have salivated at the prospect of tweaking GTA to run with Oculus Rift.
"Not yet," Zelnick said when asked whether the industry was ready. "Part of it is we need to see how the headsets roll out and how we can best deliver an experience. We are concerned that you'll play our games for a long period of time -- we don't want people getting nauseated. And also, having had the experience, I'm not sure how long you want an immersive headset on your head. We'll find out. I will say this. If that's what consumers want, we'll be first in line to give it to them."
Zelnick's comments are firmly rooted in a major publisher mentality. While it's arguable that gaming is ready for VR, the shift is unlikely to be spearheaded by major third-party publishers, especially those who prioritise console releases ahead of the PC. Zelnick admits as much, saying he'd prefer to see if it works for other companies first.
"We see no reason to innovate in terms of business models," he said. "We prefer to be a fast follower. No one else can make our intellectual property -- only we can. I'm happy to have other people spend loads of dough on R&D."
In terms of major publishers, Palmer Luckey said in September that Activision, EA and Ubisoft are all investing in virtual reality. Still, it might be a while before we see official VR support for a GTA game.

Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes system requirements released

Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes releases for PC on December 8, and now you can make sure your system is up to scratch. The system requirements were published recently on the game's Steam Community page, and the minimum specs are pretty forgiving. Not surprising since this game also released for last-gen consoles.
Here they are:
Minimum Specifications:
OS: Windows Vista 64-Bit or later
Processor: Core i5 SandyBridge 4Core (4 Thread) 2.7GHz or above
Memory: 4 GB RAM or above
Graphics: GeForce GTX 650 or above
DirectX: Version 11 or above
Recommended Specifications:
OS: Windows Vista 64-Bit or later
Processor: Core i5 SandyBridge 4Core (4 Thread) 2.7GHz or above
Memory: 8 GB RAM or above
Graphics: GeForce GTX 760 or above
DirectX: Version 11 or above
Ground Zeroes releases ahead of next year's main course in the form of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. Both will boast 4K support, as well as improved lighting and shadow resolution.

Take-Two CEO's response to GTA 5's prostitutes is perfect

Anytime a Grand Theft Autogame releases, even if it's just a next-gen re-release of a game from a year ago, the media makes a big deal about the amount of violence in it.
Today, it's the ability to sleep with a prostitute and then kill her. Although this was already possible in the last-gen version of the game via a third-person view, it's totally different in first-person and somehow seemingly more inappropriate than before. You know, because f*cking and killing a prostitute is fine as long as it's not done through the eyes of your character, right? I find it hilarious that this was largely ignored when the game originally released for Xbox 360 and PS3.
So today, during Bloomberg Television's "Market Makers," Grand Theft Auto publisher Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick as asked by show host Stephanie Ruhle "We’ve got to talk about what’s in Grand Theft Auto. Players have the right to have sex with a prostitute and then kill her. Is this true?" As if this wasn't already possible in the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions.
Zelnick's answer couldn't have been phrased any better.
Well, I don’t look at it that way at all. Look, this is a criminal setting. It’s a gritty underworld. It is art. And I -- I embrace that art, and it’s beautiful art, but it is gritty. And let’s not make -- you know, let’s not make no bones about the environment in which we operate. And we stand shoulder to shoulder with other major motion picture releases and major television shows that explore a similar universe. So yeah, this is a tough universe because it’s a criminal universe. However, there’s hundreds of hours of gameplay. People have been engaged with Grand Theft Auto Online for over a year and there are plenty of things to do, and it’s an incredibly exciting environment. But can it be rough? Absolutely.
Grand Theft Auto gets a ton of flack for its content, and is constantly the target of criticism by traditional media. Meanwhile, movies and shows of the same graphic nature get a pass. Let's not act like games are alone in this. Grand Theft Auto is a gritty game intended for mature audiences. The developers are free to create whatever they want, bound only by moral obligation.

People Scammed Walmart For Cheap PS4s

Some take advantage of Walmart's price-matching promise to get PlayStation 4s for as cheap as $50.

Some enterprising shoppers have taken advantage of Walmart's new price-matching promise to buyPlayStation 4s for as low as $50. Under the terms of Walmart's price-matching promotion, the company says, "If you find a lower advertised price on an identical product, tell us and we'll match it."
CNBC reports that people are setting up bogus Amazon selling accounts, and listing PS4s for just a fraction of what they normally cost. While Amazon is often quick to shut these pages down, users need only to take screenshots and show it to a Walmart cashier to request the price-match.

Some have successfully done this, with one Twitter user saying they were able to get a PS4 from Walmart for $50 (tweet since deleted, but captured by Kotaku) and other for around $100. People on the deals forum Slickdeals.net are also saying they were able to get PS4s on the cheap in this way.
It's likely that Walmart has since wised up and will amend its price-matching policies and protocols.
if you're looking to legitimately buy a PS4 in the near future, various retailers will offer a very nice Black Friday bundle that includes a console and copies of Grand Theft Auto V and The Last of Us for $400.

Titanfall Has Had "7 Million Unique Users"

We don't have exact sales numbers, but developer Respawn added a little more context to their statement that Titanfall is the best-selling new IP for Xbox One.
Speaking in the video embedded above, Respawn community manager Abbie Heppe said, "We're constantly working to improve the game for everyone, and to give all seven million unique users new ways to play Titanfall."
This doesn't necessarily translate to 7 million copies of the game sold, however. On the gaming forum Neogaf, user DKo5 (Titanfall producer Drew McCoy) wrote, "This does not mean 7m sold. This means 7m people have played the game. Yes, this means Destiny and probably Watch Dogs have had more more sales and players. This is not at all surprising, or worthy of shame. Everyone is so supremely proud of the game. More successful than we could have imagined. I could also point out that EA has been on a huge upswing in the market, often attributed partially to how well Titanfall has done."
Respawn hasn't yet ruled out whether or not the next Titanfall will come to multiple platforms, but we do know that more Titanfall is on the way.
